Boogie Adds New Acts


Boogie, now in its 9th year, set for this Easter in Tallarook (north of Melbourne), has added nine more acts to its line-up.

Strand of Oaks (USA) will be in Australia for the first time, following their 2014 debut album Heal

Other acts confirmed are The Murlocs, fresh from supporting Mac DeMarco, Dorsal Fins, Darren Hanlon (with a new record, Where Did You Come From), Scotdrakula, Pearls, Parking Lot Experiments, Mangelwurzel, The Finks and Goat Piss Gasoline (Tasmanian songwriter Ramblin Van Walker joins forces with Maitland guitarist Hank Elwood Green and Adelaide’s Suit Watkins).

The above acts will be joining already announced Pokey La Farge (USA), Justin Townes Earle (USA), Rocket Science, Tony Joe White (USA), The Bombay Royale, Los Chicos (SPAIN), Drunk Mums, Ponyface Plays Nebraska, Davey Lane, The Peep Tempel, Ali Barter, Fuck The Fitzroy Doom Scene, Cool Sounds, Broads And Eaten By Dogs.

Brian Wise

Brian Wise was the Editor of Addicted To Noise‘s Australian site from 1997 – 2002. The site won two ONYA Awards as Best Online Music Magazine in 1999 & 2000. He has also been Editor since its reincarnation in 2013. He also presents the weekly music interview program Off The Record on 102.7 Triple R-FM ( in Melbourne. It is networked to 45+ stations across Australia on the Community Radio Network and is a four-time winner of the Best Music Program Award from the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia. In 2012, it was nominated as a finalist in the Excellence in Music Programming category. Brian was also the Founding Editor & Publisher of Rhythms Magazine and is now its Senior Contributing Editor.
