What could be better than driving down to Big Sur for breakfast? Not much. The short drive along the Pacific Coast highway from Monterey is spectacular, especially when you cross the Bixby Bridge. There are a lot of people (mainly middle-aged men) driving Mustangs.
I visited the Henry Miller Library and then returned to the River Inn for a breakfast burrito, which was so big I could only eat half of it. The drive back to San Francisco was easy and I checked into the hotel, dropped the car back to the airport and then caught the BART back into town (for US$8.25!).
