Watch Neil Finn Record New Album Today!

0
The fourth and final event in Neil Finn’s August live stream series takes place tonight from 5.00pm AEST at Roundhead Studios, in Auckland. This live stream will allow fans to experience Neil recording his forthcoming album OUT OF SILENCE in real time; his fourth solo album will be released only one week later.

It follows three immensely successful live streams – last Friday’s producing an incredible set including ‘Weather With You’ and three Split Enz songs!  View setlist HERE.  The events have earned more than half a million Facebook views, and over 65,000 YouTube views.

Since the beginning of August, the first two singles from OUT OF SILENCE, “More Than One Of You” and “Second Nature” respectively, have been recorded during these live stream events, and mixed and released just a week later.

Neil has invited a choir of friends and family to join him for the recording of this album, his son Elroy rotating from bass, guitar to percussion, and a handpicked chamber orchestra.

Immediately post the live stream tomorrow night, OUT OF SILENCE will be mixed and mastered, ready for release the following Friday, September 1.  The release of the CD version has been brought forward to September 15, meaning fans can own the physical album only 3 short weeks after Neil finishes recording it.  Limited edition gatefold vinyl will follow in late October.

Pre-order from Neil’s store to receive a limited edition autographed photo from the recording session.
