Tweedy & Jason Isbell Tours!

Love Police has announced 2016 tours for both Tweedy and Jason Isbell.

Tweedy, the group centred around Wilco founder Jeff Tweedy and his 18-year-old son Spencer, have announced dates for their debut Australian performances.

For the shows, which will include Byron’s Bluesfest, the two Tweedys will be joined by a band comprised of Jim Elkington (The Horse’s Ha, Eleventh Dream Day) on additional guitars, Darin Grey (On Fillmore, Brise-Glace) on bass and Liam Cunningham (Marrow) on keyboards, to deliver songs from across the Tweedy, Wilco, Uncle Tupelo and Jeff Tweedy solo catalogues.

Regarded as one of contemporary music’s most accomplished songwriters, musicians and performers Jeff Tweedy started Wilco on 1994. The band have recorded nine remarkable albums and collaborated with Billy Bragg to bring to life three albums full of Woody Guthrie penned lyrics in the milestone Mermaid Avenue album series. TWEEDY – The father/son duo’s debut album titled Sukierae (sue-key-ray), featured 20 new Jeff Tweedy-written songs.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 6.
