It will be the first time Waters has toured Australia since his The Wall Live tour broke sales records in 2012. The US + THEM tour has proved a massive success across North America this year, playing to full houses with over three quarters of a million tickets sold.  It has garnered widespread critical acclaim, hailed as a triumph with “eye-popping” production and “spectacular” set-list drawn from classics in the Floyd canon and from Waters’ solo work.

Us + Them showcases highlights from Waters’ groundbreaking body of work and features songs from Pink Floyd’s greatest albums – The Dark Side of The Moon, The Wall, Animals, Wish You Were Here – plus new songs from Roger Waters’ album Is This the Life We Really Want?

(The tour title Us + Them is derived from the 1974 track ‘Us And Them’ on the multi-million selling Pink Floyd album The Dark Side of the Moon).

Today, Handsome Tours & Remote Control have announced special guests, Little May, as support act for all Australian shows.

After releasing and internationally touring their critically acclaimed album, For The Company, recorded in a nineteenth century church in upstate New York with The National’s Aaron Brooking Dessner, 2017 was a year of change for Little May. Liz Drummond and Hannah Field started the year by farewelling lead guitarist Annie Hamilton as she headed off to pursue other creative projects, and saw the outfit focus on writing their highly anticipated sophomore album, a body of work that may be their most bold, raw and honest offering yet.

Little May have become known for the quality of their live shows, performing sold out headline tours from London to Paris to Berlin and all over Australia and the USA. They have graced the stages of Splendour In The Grass, Bonnaroo Festival, Gentlemen of The Road – alongside the likes of The Flaming Lips and Alabama Shakes, St Jerome’s Laneway Festival and The Great Escape, to name a few. Filling out the band with new and old friends Rob Muinos, Mark Harding and Sam Raines, Little May are excited to hit the road for the first time in over a year in support of their friends, The National, performing some new songs and offering a preview of what’s to come.

The National’s Australian tour will follow the release of their seventh LP, Sleep Well Beast, out now on 4AD / Remote Control Records.  This will mark the first time Australian audiences will hear live performances from Sleep Well Beast – hosted at premiere venues made to showcase one of the most formidable and impeccable live acts in the world.

Vikki Thorn will tour Australia for the very first time in March this year, fronting her own Trio along with Heath Cullen and long term ‘The Waifs’ bassist Ben Franz.

After 25 years of singing and touring as one third of ‘The Waifs’, Vikki Thorn found her own voice deep in the canyons of Utah. Known for her powerful vocals and blues harp playing, she is a dynamic & passionate performer who has sung with Bob Dylan, Levon Helm, Paul Kelly, John Butler and Missy Higgins.

Themes of movement, motherhood and motocross weave through country blues, slightly side stepping away from the folk format of The Waifs to indulge in her passion for old R&B. Her voice can swing and roll or radiate the intimate warmth of the morning’s first cuppa, inviting you to sit at the kitchen table while she sings about life in the wild places.

Catch Vikki Thorn and her trio playing her first headline shows around Australia this March. Tickets for all shows will be on sale from Tuesday January 23.
