The Radiothon 2010 – August 21 – Week 2

0

It turned out to be our most amazing Radiothon show ever. Broke all records. While there was a small swing to Labor in Victoria in tonight’s Federal election, there was a bigger swing to Off The Record!

Guests this week included the ever-reliable Billy Pinnell, the talented Chris Wilson, the now remarkably relaxed Patrick Donovan from Music Victoria and Jo Roberts from The Age EG. The combined talent, the desperate pleas and the occasional cajoling seemed to work. Thanks also,. of course, to the team – Ben on the panel, Sarah on the phones, Kirang helping too and Ken with the Gig Guide.

I am still overwhelmed that so many people ring up and pay for what they can really get for free. It is a vote of confidence in community radio and Triple R and shows what a great local scene we have. I reckon that between Triple R, PBS-FM and 774 ABC  and Radio National you have just about everything you need in music and current affairs.
