New Orleans Jazz Fest 2016 Line-Up!

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival line-up has been announced with what seems like an unusually large number of high profile headline acts for this year’s event. Fans have already taken to social media to call it one of the best line-ups ever.

The line-up so far announced features Van Morrison, Neil Young, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Steely Dan, Elvis Costello, Bonnie Raitt, Herbie Hancock & Wayne Shorter, Boz Scaggs, Mavis Staples, Lauryn Hill, Arturo Sandoval, Buddy Guy, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Isley Brothers, Pearl Jam, Beck, Red Hot Chili Peppers, My Morning Jacket, Gary Clark Jr, Arlo Guthrie, Gov’t Mule, Michael McDonald, Rhiannon Giddens, Brandi Carlile, John Hammond, Taj Mahal, Punch Brothers, The Lone Bellow, Snarky Puppy, Buffy St Marie, Gregory Porter, Janelle Monae…and many more.
The New Orleans/Louisiana component of the line-up includes: Aaron Neville, Trombone Shorty, Dr John, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Galactic, Irma Thomas, Jon Cleary, Terance Blanchard, Kermit Ruddins, Anders Osborne, Tab Benoit, Ellis Marsalis, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and many more. There will also be a special tribute to Allen Toussaint as well as a tribute to BB King.
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival runs from April 22 through to May 1.

Brian Wise

Brian Wise was the Editor of Addicted To Noise‘s Australian site from 1997 – 2002. The site won two ONYA Awards as Best Online Music Magazine in 1999 & 2000. He has also been Editor since its reincarnation in 2013. He also presents the weekly music interview program Off The Record on 102.7 Triple R-FM (rrr.org.au) in Melbourne. It is networked to 45+ stations across Australia on the Community Radio Network and is a four-time winner of the Best Music Program Award from the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia. In 2012, it was nominated as a finalist in the Excellence in Music Programming category. Brian was also the Founding Editor & Publisher of Rhythms Magazine and is now its Senior Contributing Editor.
