The Melbourne International Jazz Festival’s Artistic Director Michael Tortoni, Program Manager Melanie Pose, the Hue Blanes Trio and musicians from Monash University celebrated the 2016 program launch last night at The Langham, Melbourne.
The 2016 Festival line-up includes jazz legend Wayne Shorter along with Esperanza Spalding, Robert Glasper, Hiromi, Snarky Puppy, Eddie Palmieri, Gary Bartz, José James, Stu Hunter, Vince Jones, Tomasz Stańko and many, many more.
Bringing together artists from Australia, Ethiopia, Israel, Italy, Poland and the USA, this year’s Festival program features headliners in concert halls, intimate club gigs, late-night jams, close encounters, workshops, family events and free concerts.
