Leonard Cohen Returns

Leonard Cohen will return to Australasia for the third time in 5 years with 13 shows scheduled so far. Cohen and his band will perform in most Australian capital cities with additional regional and two winery shows.

“From what I have been led to believe this will be his last tour here,” promoter Michael Gudinski  told the Melbourne Herald-Sun. “He is, without a doubt, one of the most special artists I have worked with in my life; it’s almost a religious experience.”

Cohen recently won Songwriter of The Year and Artist of The Year awards at the 2013 Canadian Juno Music Awards. His most recent studio album Old Ideas was named in NPR’s Favourite 50 Albums of 2012.

Cohen celebrates his 79th birthday on September 21.

Cohen is bringing his full nine-piece band featuring  singer/collaborator Sharon Robinson, the Webb Sisters and musical director Roscoe Beck.

Cohen’s tour begins in Perth on November 13.
