John Murry’s Califorlornia

Singer songwriter John Murry’s new EP, Califorlornia, is to be released in Australia August 22 via Warner Music Australia. The Tupelo, Misssissippi, born and raised Murry, (cousin to writer William Faulkner) will also be performing two Australian shows next week.

The EP includes two co-writes with longtime friend Chuck Prophet (including the first single ‘Glass Slipper’) and a cover of Warren Zevon’s ‘Genius.’ There is also a tribute to the late Tim Mooney, producer of his first album The Graceless Age, recorded in Australia with local producer Mark Stanley, who will co-produce the new record with Irish producer Karl Odlum (Kila, Glen Hansard & The Frames, Lisa O’Neill).

The unique Australia/New Zealand edition of the four-song EP contains an additional six songs, making Califorlornia an album-length  follow-up to The Graceless Age, which John will record in Melbourne in August.
