Jeff Tweedy To Release Song A Week


The musical duo Tweedy – featuring Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy and his 18-year-old son Spencer Tweedy, has released their new song, ‘Summer Noon.’ The track is from Tweedy’s forthcoming album Sukierae, which will be released on Anti/dBpm Records on September 19. ‘Summer Noon’ also featured on the soundtrack to the new Richard Linklater film Boyhood. In anticipation of Sukierae’s release Anti/dBpm will debut one new track per week, every Monday, for the next eight weeks. Each track will be available digitally for individual purchase upon release or free to anyone who pre-orders Sukierae before its official September 19 on-sale date. Pre-sale purchasers automatically receive each track as it becomes available, and will automatically receive all of the tracks released prior to their purchase date.

Jeff Tweedy is currently on tour in the US, backed by a full band that includes Spencer on drums plus Jim Elkington on guitar, Darin Gray on bass and Liam Cunningham on keyboards. The band will perform ‘Summer Noon’ on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on July 24.

Brian Wise was the Editor of Addicted To Noise‘s Australian site from 1997 – 2002. The site won two ONYA Awards as Best Online Music Magazine in 1999 & 2000.
