Jayhawks Pledge New Album

0

In September 2015 The Jayhawks entered Flora Recording and Playback studio in Portland, OR   to record a batch of brand-new songs. The band is now partnering with PledgeMusic to complete the project and to give their fans to have a window into the process of recording. The PledgeMusic edition of the new album will include a second disc of demos and outtakes, unavailable anywhere else.

“With major changes in the music business, artists need their fans more than ever to help them continue making music. We deeply appreciate their help and support and we thank Pledge for being the best vehicle to facilitate this interaction between band and fan,” said Jayhawks leader Gary Louris.

The yet-to-be-titled record is being produced by R.E.M.’s Peter Buck and Grammy-nominated Tucker Martine (My Morning Jacket, Neko Case, The Decemberists) and will be released on the Jayhawks’ newly minted Sham label in partnership with Thirty Tigers, the independent music distribution company behind recent album releases from Jason Isbell, Lucinda Williams, Josh Ritter, Sturgill Simpson, and St. Paul and the Broken Bones.

When they pre-order the new record, Jayhawks fans will get the AccessPass, which gives them access to exclusive content such as updates and videos from the studio, first listen to songs and pictures from behind the scenes as the band records and mixes the album. Pledgers will also have the opportunity to own some very exclusive, one-of-a-kind items, such as:

–  A signed, deluxe double CD of the new album featuring demos and unreleased cuts
– An exclusive Sham logo T-shirt
– A signed screen print of the new album artwork
– A signed deluxe double vinyl set
– Special packages featuring signed vinyl and signed CDs with other items
