Foo Fighters will headline a special gig on a cruise ship docked at Manhattan’s Pier 88 on the Hudson River next month in the run up to the 2014 Superbowl in February.
Also performing at the event will be Imagine Dragons, The Roots and Fall Out Boy. The Roots are celebrating New York hip-hop at the first gig on January 30, joined on the bill by Run-DMC and Busta Rhymes.Imagine Dragons headline the second concert on January 31.
Foo Fighters, meanwhile, will team up with the Zac Brown Band for a February 1 gig. Dave Grohl recently worked on the country band’s latest EP.
Also on February 1st, the Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline WFAN’s pre-Super Bowl bash, ‘Big Hello to Brooklyn’ at the Barclays Center, with additional performances from New Politics, MS MR, J Roddy Walston and the Business and Basic Vacation.
The music festival ends before the big game on February 2, t the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which will be headlined by Fall Out Boy and Jake Owen.
Foo Fighters returned to performing in Mexico on December 11 and will be releasing a new album early in 2014.
