Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell have announced plans to tour Australia together for the very first time in June.
The acclaimed country stars have known and worked with each other for the past 40 years with Crowell having been a member of Harris’s Hot Band in the ’70s and ’80s.
The duo’s 2013 album Old Yellow Moon won a Grammy Award and won Album of The Year at the 2013 Americana Awards, where they also won Duo/Group of The Yewar.
Harris and Crowell have recorded a follow-up to Old Yellow Moon which should be released by the time of the tour.
Tour dates so far announced are:
Sunday June 21 – Concert Hall, Perth, WA
Tuesday June 23 – AIS Event Centre, Canberra, ACT
Thursday June 25 – Palais Theatre, Melbourne, VIC
Saturday June 27 – The Star Event Centre, Sydney, NSW
Sunday June 28 – Entertainment Centre, Wollongong, NSW
Wednesday July 1– Jupiters Theatre, Gold Coast, QLD
Pre-sale tickets for the tour of Australia will be available from midday next Thursday March 12, with general-release tickets from 10am on Tuesday, 17 March17.
