The line-up for Coachella 2016 has been announced with a reformed Guns N’ Roses headlining both Saturday nights of the two-weekend festival which takes place from April 15 to April 24 on polo fields at the Empire Polo Club in Indio Valley, California.
Courtney Barnett, Sia and Flume head a list of five Australian acts that will also appear.
Other headline acts include LCD Soundsystem, Sufjan Stevens and Underworld for Friday nights, Ice Cube, Gary Clark Jr and Courtney Barnett joining Guns N’ Roses on Saturday and Calvin Harris, Flume and Beach House for Sunday nights.
It is not yet clear who will join Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan in the Guns N’ Roses reunion.
Other acts on the eclectic Coachella bill include Mavis Staples, The Damned, country star Chris Stapleton and Kamasi Washington (also appearing at Byron’s Bluesfest).
The line-up for The Stagecoach Festival, held a week after Coachella, from April 29 to May 1, on the same site, has also been announced. Chris Stapleton also appears on this line-up along with other headline acts including John Fogerty, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Carrie Underwood, Robert Earle Keen, Eric Church, Billy Joe Shaver and more.
