Bluesfest Byron Bay’s 5-Day Easter Festival, held at its permanent home, the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, north of Byron Bay, revealed its third round of artists to perform at its 25th Anniversary, over the Easter long weekend 17 – 21 April, 2014.
The latest line-up announcement includes the addition of Belgian American multi-instrumentalist Trixie Whitley, daughter of the late Chris Whitley, who toured Australia twice. Trixie Whitley has played with Daniel Lanois’ Black Dub and has recently released an acclaimed solo album, Fourth Corner.
Also new to the bill is Jack Johnson, whose latest album From Here To Now To You is his third number 1 album in a row in the Billboard charts in the US.
Other adds include Elvis Costello (who made his Bluesfest debut with two roof-raising performances with The Imposters in 2011), Passenger, RocKwiz Live, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Kasey Chambers, New Orleans’ Soul Rebels and the 9 piece soul band from Melbourne, Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes.
The first two announcements included John Mayer, The Dave Matthews Band, The Doobie Brothers, Aaron Neville, Erykah Badu, Gregg Allman, Boz Scaggs and more.
